From Woodstock To Eternity

John D. Cooper, Virginia Tech class of 1972

August 5 & 6, 2016, 1:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Gillie's Restaurant (153 College Ave.) From Woodstock To Eternity takes you back to the dreamy days of brotherhood, music and the open road. You can experience the adventure with Dustin Morgan as he searches for thrills and freedom but finds it in an unexpected place. Based in the small, college town of Blacksburg, Virginia, Morgan roams through the hippie glory days, goes to Woodstock, and brings in plane loads of pot from South America.

John D. Cooper came to Virginia Tech in 1968 and soon became part of a burgeoning hip movement that changed the culture of Blacksburg through the '70's, leaving its mark on the town to this day. He has transformed the ideals and adventures of this era into a novel, From Woodstock To Eternity. He now lives in Paris, TX with his wife, Lisa and seven children.
