Steppin' Out® Parking

Blacksburg Transit is providing a free shuttle to the festival from the Smithfield Parking Lot on Virginia Tech’s campus. There is no fee to park at the Smithfield Lot! The shuttle will drop off and pick up at the corner of Washington Street and Draper Road and will run every 15 minutes from 9am to 10:30pm.

To get to the Smithfield Parking Lot:
From Rt. 460 West – Turn right onto Southgate Drive, then take a left at the stop light onto Duck Pond Road. Follow the road to just before the duck pond. Smithfield Parking Lot is on the left.

From Rt. 460 East – Take the Prices Fork Road exit and turn left towards VT. Turn right onto West Campus Drive then turn right onto Duck Pond Drive. Follow the road around the pond and Smithfield Parking Lot will be on the right.

Bringing Your Dog?

If you must bring your dog, please leave him/her in the Canine Corral on the Henderson Lawn on College Ave. Service provided by New River Varmints,
540-961-1710.

The Corral will be open 10am- 10pm on Friday and Saturday.

Take advantage of the convenience of the Kent Square Parking Garage. Entrance is located at the corner of Draper Road and Roanoke Street; 380 public parking spaces with hourly and daily rates available; parking validated by many downtown businesses.

You will find metered parking on many streets surrounding and crossing the Main Street corridor of downtown Blacksburg: Draper Road, College Avenue, College Avenue Extension, Lee Street, Church Street and Roanoke Street.

Don't forget the metered parking lots off Church Street, Progress Street, and Draper Road (Farmers Market).

Collegiate Square (corner of Main Street and Prices Fork Road) and Clay Court offer customer parking in lots adjacent to their stores.

Parking reserved for Virginia Tech personnel (Squires Center and lots off Roanoke Street and Otey Street) is available for downtown visitors after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday.

Leave the Car

Blacksburg Transit provides service around Blacksburg, and even special Steppin' Out routes during the festival. Check their website for up to date schedules.
